Pahua Heiau

Pahua Heiau is a 1.1-acre site that was donated to OHA in 1988.  OHA acquired the site to preserve the archaeological structures and to provide cultural and educational opportunities in Maunalua.  Pahua is expected to benefit from the completion of a Preservation Plan and Comprehensive Management Plan, approved by SHPD in 2018, both of which will guide the use of the site into the future.  OHA expects these plans to be completed by mid-2019. Designs have been completed for a Public Viewing Area, with installation to be completed in 2022.

Notice: Pahua Heiau is not a hiking trail.  The heiau site and the ridge behind it are private property and not open to the public.  Trespassers will be cited.
