Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee John Waiheʻe IV has been appointed Interim Chairperson of the OHA Committee on Budget and Finance.
Board Chair Kaialiʻi Kahele made the appointment today after accepting the resignation from the position by Trustee Luana Alapa.
“I respect Trustee Alapa’s decision. She shared that she looks forward to devoting more time and energy to her role as co-chair of the all-important Ad Hoc Committee working to update the OHA strategic plan, Mana i Mauli Ola,” Kahele said. “We thank her and her staff for their dedicated work on the Budget and Finance Committee this year.”
Kahele also appointed Trustee Dan Ahuna to serve as Interim Vice Chair of the B&F Committee.
The full Board will be asked to approve the appointments at the upcoming BOT meeting, tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 27.
