KUMU HINA’S MELE WORKSHOPS

E kipa mai a e launa nohoʻi kākou!

Hawaiians are connected by our history, language, culture and mana of our ancestors and storied places and our mele is a repository of kauna or hidden meaning of Hawaiʻi’s most heartfelt emotions and thoughts of our Lāhui.

Join us for a FREE mele workshop as we learn from Hinaleimoana “Kumu Hina” Wong about how Hawaiian perspectives impact the mele that we sing, dance and chant in honor of our beloved land. This is the second of our Aloha ʻĀina, ʻĀina Aloha Mele Workshop series. Please stay makaʻala and on the lookout for announcements on upcoming dates and locations.

This community event presented by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs is FREE and open to the public.
