Troubleshooting

Seeing the mobile version on your desktop? Get Internet Explorer Out of Compatibility Mode

1. Open up Internet Explorer and press the Alt key on your keyboard, this will make a menu bar appear. Now go ahead and click on the Tools menu item.

2. Then select the Compatibility View settings option.

3. The first and most common thing you will want to check is that it has not been enabled for all websites, you can do this by making sure the Display all websites in Compatibility View check box is unchecked.

4. Next you will want to select the sites that are giving you issues and remove them from the list, remember that compatibility view is there for a reason so only remove the sites that look funny or aren’t working correctly, they have probably been coded using newer elements that weren’t available in older browsers and therefore compatibility view is breaking them.

5. Then click on close and refresh the page, now older sites that you left in the list will still use compatibility view and newer ones won’t.

The site display is optimized for 960px wide (standard) and should now look like this on your desktop computer:

Page doesn’t load on your Windows workstation? Fix the “This page cannot be displayed” issue by following these steps.

The new oha.org has a different IP address from the old oha.org. This may cause some issues for your web browsers, as it may still be trying to resolve the oha.org domain name to the old IP address, causing your browser to not load properly. To fix the problem you need to reset the Windows networking stack. Fortunately Windows 8/7/Vista comes with a built-in tool you can use to do this:

  1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories, right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator. Windows 8 users press [Windows Key] + [X] and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. At the command prompt type: netsh winsock reset catalog and press [Enter].
  3. Next type: netsh int ip reset reset.log and press [Enter].
  4. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

If that still doesn’t solve the issue, you may also want to try the following steps:

  1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories, right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator. Windows 8 users press [Windows Key] + [X] and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. At the command prompt type: ipconfig /flushdns and press [Enter].
  3. Next type: ipconfig /release and press [Enter].
  4. Next type: ipconfig /renew and press [Enter].
  5. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
