Sterling Wong is OHA’s Chief Advocate (Ka Pou Kihi Kū). He first came to OHA in 2002 as a student intern for Ka Wai Ola, the Hawaiian community newspaper published by OHA. He has served as a staff writer, publications editor, policy advocate, public policy manager, public relations officer and interim chief operating officer. He grew up in Kunia and graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute and UH-Mānoa, double majoring in Journalism and Hawaiian Studies. Sterling lives in Wahiawā with his wife and three Kaiapuni daughters.
