Capsun M. Poe started as the Community Engagement Director at OHA in June 2022. Poe previously worked for the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Education where he served as the branch administrator and legislative coordinator. Poe has a master’s degree in public administration and 19 years of experience in planning, management, analysis, and the administration of government and nonprofit programs; as well as extensive experience with relationship management and stakeholder engagement. He previously worked at OHA from 2007 to 2016 serving as trustee aide, policy advocate and board secretary.
In his new role at the agency, Poe oversees OHA’s Compliance and Enforcement Program, and a team of advocates focused on county level policies that are located in Oʻahu and OHA’s neighbor island offices.
