DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day immersed in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands with talks on resource protection\, scientific research\, cultural practice\, large-scale marine protected area management\, World Heritage and more! This event is open to the public all day. \nPapahānaumokuākea is the first and only mixed (natural and cultural) UNESCO World Heritage Site in the United States and the second World Heritage Site in Hawaiʻi. This year\, we celebrate our five year anniversary as a mixed World Heritage Site for cultural and natural heritage considered to be of outstanding value to humanity. There will be speaker presentations\, exhibits\, video screenings\, slide shows\, and an opportunity to talk with PMNM co-managers. \nA full listing of speakers and exhibits will be available in conference bag materials and on the HCA website. For more information\, contact keolal@oha.org. \nSponsored by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs on behalf of the Monument Management Board
