To celebrate the 179th birthday of Queen Liliʻuokalani and honoring Queen Liliʻuokalani as a leader of peace and justice as Hawaiʻiʻs last sovereign. ‘Iolani Palace
Queen Liliʻuokalani was born on September 2, 1838. During her lifetime, she committed herself to empowering the disenfranchised Native Hawaiian population. She is Hawaiʻi’s last monarch and only queen regent.
To celebrate the Queen’s 179th birthday and in tribute to her lasting legacy, the 11th Annual ʻOnipaʻa Celebration will hold hula performances, oli , and a collaborative art mural. All are invited and welcome.
