Mauka to Makai is a two-day, free event for the community of Wai`anae that celebrates the wealth of land and water through cultural education and activities. Through hands on activities and mo`olelo for each location, we will transport participants to the old Wai`anae, a place which was once a thriving farming and fishing stronghold. This event is aimed to connect oneʻs understanding of the symbiotic relationship between the health of the mountains, the health of the ocean and the health of the people through cultural activities and mo’olelo.
