The Lānaʻi Academy of Performing Arts present Day of Conquest, an original musical that tells the story of Lānaʻi’s most famous aliʻi, Kaululāʻau, and how he cleared the island of harmful spirits. This tale is also one account of how Lānaʻi got its name — Lā, “day”; naʻi, “to conquer, strive to obtain, or endeavor to understand”. People of all places, people of our home, please join us in caring for Lānaʻi’s story, come and hear our song, and when you’ve heard it, share, and let our story echo on.
