Aloha Liliʻu: A Centennial Observance

November 11, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

On November 11, 1917 people across Hawaiʻi mourned the loss of their last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. Join us for a centennial observance honoring the Queen’s life and legacy. Church bells will toll 100 times, pahu will sound 100 times, 100 pū will resonate, and 100 ʻōlapa will dance in the Queen’s honor.

Below is a time schedule of when and what will take place:

8:00 a.m. – Formal Program

8:30 a.m. – Centennial Observance

5:00 p.m. – Royal Hawaiian Band Concert

6:00 p.m. – Dramatic Presentation of the Queen’s Last Days

(The morning events will take place at the Queen Liliʻuokalani Statue, Hawaiʻi State Capitol, Honolulu. And the evening events will take place at the Iʻolani Palace, Honolulu)
