E Hoʻokanaka! Inspiring & uplifting the next generation of leaders

E Hoʻokanaka! celebrates emerging leaders in the Hawaiian community. Embedded in the message of E Hoʻokanaka! is empowerment, strength, innovation and resiliency.  We will share the stories of young ʻōiwi leaders who are making positive impacts in their communities; those who are taking a fresh approach to addressing the issues and challenges that Hawaiʻi faces.

As we collectively respond to some of our most pressing concerns as an island community – climate change, affordable housing, equitable education, the protection of sacred spaces and the appreciation for traditional knowledge and practices – it is imperative that we identify and uplift those who are making extraordinary efforts to effect changes that will help move our lāhui forward.
