Announcement of 2012 OHA Salary Commission Meetings and Opportunities for Public Comment
The 2012 OHA Salary Commission has filed public notices with meeting agenda with the Office of Lt. Governor, and public comment is invited in person or by email as follows.

Persons wishing to provide written testimony at the meetings of the 2012 OHA Salary Commission are requested to submit 10 copies of their testimony to the Salary Commission at the start of the meeting. Persons wishing to testify orally may do so at any of the above meetings, provided that oral testimony is limited to five minutes. Persons wishing to use e-mail may send their testimony to ohasalarycommission2012@gmail.com.
Background: By Hawai‘i law, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes section 10-9.5, the Hawai‘i Governor appoints an OHA Salary Commission every four years. The 2012 OHA Salary Commission is tasked to make recommendations for the salaries of the members of the Board of Trustees for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, before the 20th legislative day of the regular session.

To meet the legal requirement, the 2012 OHA Salary Commission must make their recommendation before February 16, 2012.
