The Merrie Monarch Festival to air on KFVE

Named in honor of King David La‘amea Kamanakapu‘u Mahinulani Nalaiaehuokalani Lumialani Kaläkaua, who had a great fondness for Hawaiian song and dance, the Merrie Monarch Festival, established in 1963 by the Hawai‘i Island Chamber of Commerce, will be aired by local televison station KFVE.
