Ka'ala Farm seeking Ho'okumu 'Olelo Curriculum Developer
Ka'ala Farm, Inc. is seeking a Ho'okumu 'Ōlelo Language Curriculum Developer.

This position requires working as a team with Ma'ili Elementary teachers and staff to create, document, and disseminate a school-wide language and culture program that can be replicated at other non-immersion schools.  This position is a full time position and exempt from the minimum wage and time card provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Experience working in a school setting, preferably in curriculum development and/or implementation.
  2. Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  3. Experience with community partnerships desired.
  4. Fluency in Hawaiian language required.
  5. Familiarity with Hawaiian values, culture and history.  Ability to work within a context that utilizes Native Hawaiian values.
  6. Working knowledge of the Department of Education system and assessment of student performance and achievement.
  7. Desire to work with children and teachers.
  8. Ability to work as a member of a team.
Physical Abilities:
  1. Flexible hours may be required to meet  the needs of the program
  2. Travel between project sites will be required of the job
