HONOLULU (April 22, 2014) – The Office of Hawaiian Affairs announced today a settlement that helps restore millions of gallons of water to two Nā Wai ʻEhā streams in Central Maui.

The ʻĪao Stream and the Waikapū Stream are expected to significantly benefit from the settlement approved by the state Commission on Water Resource Management in what’s known as the Nā Wai ʻEhā case.

OHA Hawaiian Registry Program - Nā Mamo 'Ōiwi Hawai'i

The OHA Hawaiian Registry Program (HRP) provides Hawaiians, worldwide, with a card that verifies their Hawaiian ancestry. The Office of Hawaiian Affairs issues the card after verifying indigenous Hawaiian ancestry through biological parentage. No blood quantum is required.
